[Chorus: Babyface & Jack Harlow]
Is it too soon? (Too soon)
Too soon for me to fu*k somebody new? (Oh, baby, too soon, no, baby)
Is it too soon? (Too soon)
Too soon for me to love somebody new? (I don't think so)
Too soon
[Verse: Jack Harlow]
I don't think so, I don't blame you
What could I even say? I don't claim you
I could shame you, but that would be shameful
I know some guys that would, but they lame though
And I'm not that, at least in my head
I bet we disagree on that though
Mentally, I've made peace after seventeen people in your life all thinking I'm an a$
That's in the past though, well, it really ain't
Cause I been finding myself thinking bout it all damn day
Wondering if you getting laid
Is it someone that I know or affiliatе with?
Is it someone that I really hatе, b!tch?
Am I someone that you're willing to humiliate?
I don't wanna feel this way
[Chorus: Babyface]
Is it too soon? (Too soon)
Too soon for me to fu*k somebody new? (Oh, baby, too soon, no, baby)
Is it too soon? (Too soon)
Too soon for me to love somebody new?
Too soon
About This Song
“Too Soon” is a high-profile collaboration featuring legendary R&B singer, songwriter, and producer Babyface.
The track serves as a focal point for Jack Harlow's EP, Sweet Action II (a sequel project to his breakthrough 2020 EP Sweet Action).
The song first started making rounds online after being previewed during select tour stops (including late August and September 2026), followed by higher-quality snippets in late October.
A major wave of discussion hit TikTok and platforms like Reddit when Jack Harlow posted a clip of himself and friends lip-syncing to the track.
The preview highlighted a smooth, acoustic guitar-driven, and melodic R&B soundscape featuring Babyface singing the prominent hook: "Is it too soon? / Too soon for me to f–k somebody new?"
Music publications and internet discussions have noted that “Too Soon” leans heavily into the smooth R&B and relationship-focused singing style that Harlow began heavily experimenting with earlier in the year on his album Monica.
