[Verse: Jack Harlow]
You can be nervous, it's okay
You can be honest, it's alright
We can be sidekicks like it's '08
When I hold your hand like it's '09
Why you so fine, girl? There's no way
I can tell you must think I just wanna paint your face, Cirque du Soleil
And I know, she don't wanna fu*k a rapper who's sought after
Get treated like an afterthought, then it feel like a thought after
Like "Why'd I even do all that for ya?"
What, you worried that you gon' fall for me?
And then I might just fall back, huh?
You say it ain't that
Well, if it ain't that
I got a question and I'll ask one like
[Chorus: James Savage]
Oh
Why you tryna hold back?
Why you tryna hold back?
When you know you want me just like you do
Why you acting likе that?
Girl, don't do me like that
All I'm tryna do is get nеxt to you
Why you tryna hold back?
Why you tryna hold back?
When you know you want me just like you do
Why you acting like that?
Girl, don't do me like that
All I'm tryna do is get next to you
