MOVE ON Lyrics – Jack Harlow
Read the complete MOVE ON Lyrics by Jack Harlow from the album Sweet Action II along with song credits, release information and other details about the song.
[Intro: Lalah Hathaway]
So much that I didn't know
[Chorus: Jack Harlow]
Your best friend said "You need to move on"
Well, maybe you should move on
It's time to get your groove on
I guess I am your ex-boyfriend, not your new one (Hah, hah)
I'm not your new one
But you don't want these lames, you want someone with some nuance
That's on the level you on, that's speaking to you fluent
Well, I might have to be your next boyfriend, if that's what you want
If that's what you want
About This Song
Prior to the formal tracklist reveal, the song generated substantial buzz and anticipation on TikTok, where Jack previewed it multiple times (initially on July 17, 2026, followed by another preview on July 23, 2026). Fans and music outlets heavily discussed those teasers online, particularly because the track features a prominent sample of R&B singer Lalah Hathaway’s song "That Was Then."
The EP serves as a quick follow-up to his earlier album Monica and features production and collaboration elements leaning into a smooth R&B and neo-soul direction—highlighted by the project's lead appearance from Babyface on the track "Too Soon" as well as "Move On" rounding out the record.
