[Verse 1]
Babe, I had that crazy dream again last night
It was me and God and grandpa on moonlit delta night
Walking wasted through a flooded cornfield
Saying boy you ought build it up on that hill, Noah’s Arkansas

[Verse 2]
We’ve been thinking for a while that’s what we want
Get out of this town to find a place to call our own
Pack the boys up and get to leaving
By time we’re there, I won’t just be dreaming Noah’s Arkansas
[Chorus]
There’s a little piece of Heaven sitting south of Little Rock
When that river rises, we’ll be glad of what we’ve got
They’ll all say we’re crazy, baby let’s just let ’em talk
Raised up all our babies with the chickens and the dogs
In what they call Noah’s Arkansas

[Verse 3]
I bet we could see the sun come up down main
And drink forty years of coffee from the same two chairs
Let the kids grow up and dread the day they
We watch them leave and wait for them to come back
To Noah’s Arkansas

[Outro]
Whatcha say now babe, we hang some pictures on the wall
2×2, them 8×10’s filling up the halls and have it all
On Noah’s Arkansas, in what they call Noah’s Arkansas
