ARIRANG Lyrics & Tracklist – BTS
ARIRANG is the highly anticipated fifth Korean-language studio album (and tenth overall) by the global South Korean septet BTS. Scheduled for worldwide release on March 20, 2026, via Big Hit Music, the project marks a historic “homecoming” for the group following a three-year hiatus during which all seven members completed their mandatory South Korean military service. The album’s title refers to the legendary Korean folk song of the same name, symbolizing the group’s cultural roots and the collective joys and sorrows experienced throughout their thirteen-year journey.
Album Description and Background
The development of ARIRANG began in earnest in July 2025, with sessions taking place in Los Angeles and Seoul. Group leader RM has described the record as a “tenth-anniversary project” connected to their seminal The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (HYYH) series, focusing on themes of longing, reunion, and the “red tape” that binds human experiences. The album consists of 14 tracks, curated from over 100 songs developed during the creative process. Visually, the album is represented by the consonant initials “ㅇㄹㄹ” and a distinctive red tape motif, symbolizing the physical and emotional threads connecting the band to their global audience, known as ARMY.
Musical Style
Sonically, ARIRANG is described as a sonically expansive work that bridges traditional Korean sentiments with modern global production. The lead single, “Swim,” is an upbeat alternative pop track characterized by themes of perseverance and resilience. The album moves through various genres, including experimental electronic, rhythmic pop, and anthemic arena rock. While tracks like “Body to Body” and “FYA” are high-energy compositions designed for live performance, the latter half of the album—including “One More Night” and “Into the Sun”—tends toward more introspective, soul-searching lyricism.
Release Information
The album is set to debut on all major streaming platforms on March 20, 2026, at 1 PM KST. In addition to the digital release, several physical editions have been announced, including “Living Legend,” “Rooted in Korea,” and “Rooted in Music” versions, alongside limited edition colored vinyl for each individual member. The release will be supported by a live-streamed comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21, 2026, broadcast exclusively on Netflix, followed by the “ARIRANG” World Tour beginning in April 2026.
