[Verse 1]
You look at me and it feels like I'm on a stage
Take my meds, but they quiet down all the praise
I hear your hands, but I don't know where they're placed
There's a secret, I hid it in your suitcase
[Pre-Chorus]
And one more time
Just say you're mine
[Chorus]
How many hours are you working?
I'm replaying everything that's hurting
And my fears are next door
And the ceiling is too low
And only when you come, it goes
And only when you come, it goes
[Verse 2]
The tourists surround the door from thе movie
I haven't seen it, but I'm sure it's a bеauty
I sweep the floors and I put away my jewelry
And trash everything I use to ruin me
[Pre-Chorus]
And one more time
Just say you're mine
[Chorus]
How many hours are you working?
I'm replaying everything that's hurting
And my fears are next door
And the feeling is too low
And only when you come, it goes
And only when you come, it goes
[Bridge]
[Outro]
Give it back
Give it back
Give it back
Give it back
Give it back
Give it back
About This Song
The song dives into personal themes of vulnerability, public pressure, and emotional exhaustion. The lyrics touch on navigating mental health ("Take my meds...") and the odd, isolating contrast between performing for crowds while feeling detached or anxious in private. Rex uses the imagery of an empty stage to explore feelings of insecurity, carrying emotional baggage, and finding grounding through personal relationships when everything around feels overwhelming.
