[Verse 1: Josiah Queen]
Oh, why, oh, why
Does it feel just like a warzone in my mind?
As I fight the fight
And try to hear Your voice through all the lies
[Pre-Chorus: Josiah Queen]
He heard my heart and heard my cry
Even heard my whisper in the night
And as I prayed, I heard my Father say
[Chorus: Josiah Queen]
“Tell those demons, 'Run and hide'”
They tremble at the name of Jesus every time
Fear ain't got a home here up inside my mind
Darkness has to leave up in this light, oh-oh
[Verse 2: Julia Poe]
I feel so free
Now those demons got no powеr over me
At Your name, oh, I bеlieve
Depression and anxiety will flee
[Pre-Chorus: Julia Poe, Josiah Queen & Julia Poe]
You healed my heart and saved my life
You bottled up my tears cried in the night
And as I prayed, I heard my Father say
[Chorus: Josiah Queen & Julia Poe]
“Tell those demons, 'Run and hide'”
They tremble at the name of Jesus every time
Fear ain't got a home here up inside my mind
Darkness has to leave up in this light, oh-oh
[Post-Chorus: Josiah Queen & Julia Poe]
And I won't buy those lies
They can't take control over this life of mine
I've been fully ransomed by the Blood of Christ
Darkness has to leave up in this light, oh-oh
[Bridge: Josiah Queen]
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh
[Pre-Chorus: Josiah Queen & Julia Poe]
And as I prayed, I heard my Father say
[Chorus: Josiah Queen, Josiah Queen & Julia Poe]
“Tell those demons, 'Run and hide'”
They tremble at the name of Jesus every time
Fear ain't got a home here up inside my mind
Darkness has to leave up in this light, oh-oh
[Post-Chorus: Josiah Queen, Josiah Queen & Julia Poe]
And I won't buy those lies
They can't take control over this life of mine
I've been fully ransomed by the Blood of Christ
Darkness has to leave up in this light, oh-oh
[Outro: Josiah Queen]
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh
