[Intro]
Deep in the heart of the South London concrete jungle
There lives a strange creature
Beware, the South London lover boy (Ha-ha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha-ha; Ah)

[Chorus]
Girls, stay safe out there
Best you stay prepared
He's a South London lover boy

[Post-Chorus]
(Oh, uh-uh-uh, uh, uh, uh) Beware
(Oh, uh-uh-uh, uh, uh, uh) And be wary
(Oh, uh-uh-uh, uh-uh, uh-uh) It's, so, so scary
(Uh-uh, uh-uh)

[Verse 1]
He'll Lime Bike to your doorstep (Ooh)
Spliff hanging off his lips (Ooh)
He'll grab your arse and squeeze it (Ooh) before he leans in for a kiss (Uh-uh, uh-uh)
He's just so charismatic (Uh-uh-uh, uh, uh, uh)
And he talks as if he's doing road (Uh-uh-uh, uh, uh, uh)
And he says, "I'm too toxic for you, darling" (Uh-uh-uh, uh, uh, uh), "But when we kiss, it feels like home" (Uh-uh, uh-uh)

[Pre-Chorus]
Beware (Won't you beware?)
The South London lover boy (The South London lover boy)
They'll know where to find you (They'll know where to find you)
Especially early when you're home alone too
Beware (Beware, beware)
He'll pull up on you in an all-black car
And start reading poems out the window
He's not looking for a heart, just your pillow to rest his head

[Chorus]
Girls, stay safe out there
Best you stay prepared
He's a South London lover boy

[Post-Chorus]
(Oh, uh-uh-uh, uh, uh, uh) Beware
(Oh, uh-uh-uh, uh, uh, uh) He's so aimless
(Oh, uh-uh-uh, uh-uh, uh-uh) It's, so, so dangerous

[Verse 2]
Well, there's another side to this story (Ooh)
For there's a mean kinda beast a lurking (Ooh)
And it hunts these streets and it may call you by a whistle (Ooh)
If it finds you, pretty woman, the first thing, uh (Tuh-tuh-tuh)
Take care not to antagonise it
Do-don't offend its fragile ego
Stay calm and kind and polite, oh, darling
Or else the outcome could be lethal

[Pre-Chorus]
Beware, eh-eh-eh-yeah (Won't you beware?)
The South London lover boy (The South London lover boy)
They'll know where to find you (They'll know where to find you)
Especially early when you're home alone too
Beware (Beware, beware)
He'll pull up on you in an all-black car
And start reading you poems out the window
He's not looking for a heart, just your pillow to rest his head

[Chorus]
Girls, stay safe out there (There)
Best you stay prepared (Ooh)
He's a South London lover boy

[Bridge]
Alright, girls (It's so, so, so scary)
Wherever you're listening
In your house, in your car (And so, so, beware)
Walking home from work after dark (It's so, so, so scary)
I need you to repeat after me
Stay wary, girls, it's scary out there, sing (Uh, uh, girls)

[Outro]
Girls, stay safe out there, sing (Girls)
Girls, stay safe out there, sing (Sing, girls)
Best to stay prepared, sing
Best to stay prepared, sing (It's wild out there, sing)
Girls, stay safe out there, sing
Girls, stay safe out there, sing
It's best to stay prepared
Uh-uh-uh, we think she needs the drums
Girls, stay safe out there
Girls, stay safe out there
Best to stay prepared
Best to stay prepared
Oh, girls, stay safe out there
Girls, stay safe out there
Best to stay prepared
Best to stay prepared (Oh)
He's not looking for your heart, just a pillow to rest his head
Ooh, that boy is a South London lover boy
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
