Overview

Femme Fatale Vol. 2 is the companion album to Mon Laferte’s 2025 project Femme Fatale. The record continues the artistic journey that began during the writing sessions for the first volume, a period in which Laferte reportedly composed more than fifty songs. While the original album emphasized jazz-oriented arrangements and theatrical storytelling, the second volume gathers additional material born from the same creative process.

The album arrives as one of the most anticipated Latin-pop releases of 2026 and represents another chapter in Mon Laferte’s ongoing exploration of identity, femininity, vulnerability, romance, and emotional transformation. Released through Sony Music Latin, the project follows a period of renewed artistic freedom for the Chilean-Mexican singer-songwriter.

Musical Style

The musical direction of Femme Fatale Vol. 2 expands upon the sonic palette introduced on its predecessor. The collection blends contemporary Latin pop with elements of jazz, bolero, soul, cabaret-inspired songwriting, and classic romantic music. Mon Laferte’s work during the Femme Fatale era has been characterized by cinematic arrangements, emotionally expressive vocals, and lyrics that move between heartbreak, self-reflection, desire, and empowerment.

The album is expected to continue the sophisticated and genre-fluid approach that has defined Laferte’s recent recordings, balancing vintage influences with modern production techniques while maintaining her distinctive storytelling style.

Release Details

Femme Fatale Vol. 2 was scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. Prior to release, streaming platforms listed the project as a 21-track album. Promotional materials described the record as a continuation of the creative universe established by the first Femme Fatale album, presenting songs that were written during the same sessions but reserved for a separate volume.
