Simplemente No Me Querías Lyrics (English Translation) – Yami Safdie

[Verse 1]
I wanted to hate you with all my heart
Dedicate songs of heartbreak to you
I wanted to name you the villain
Of this badly told story
And wish you the worst
I wanted to convince myself it was a mistake
There had to be some explanation

[Pre-Chorus]
A twisted reason for you not to be with me anymore
So that this pain would be worth it

[Chorus]
But no, you weren’t confused
Oh, you weren’t afraid of commitment
You weren’t a monster or a bandit
You weren’t a bad guy, as much as I’d like you to be
Because at the end of the day
You simply didn’t love me

[Verse 2]
It’s not that we weren’t compatible
Your friends weren’t such a bad influence
It wasn’t the wrong time
With the right person
There were no guilty or innocent parties
If there wasn’t even such a crime
How can I complain to you
That you didn’t love me as much as I did?

[Pre-Chorus]
Because no, you weren’t confused
Oh, you weren’t afraid of commitment

[Chorus]
You weren’t a monster or a bandit

You weren’t a bad guy, as much as I’d like you to be
Because at the end of the day
You just didn’t love me

[Chorus]
Because no, you weren’t confused
Oh, you weren’t afraid of commitment
You weren’t a monster or a bandit
You weren’t a bad guy, as much as I’d like you to be
Because at the end of the day
You just didn’t love me
