Saw you crying yesterday
Tryna wish the world away like magic
To leave it all without a trace
All that beauty, all that grace, it’s madness

Sit down, we’re having a hug
It might not be enough, but

It’s picking up slowly
The world’s not all you make it out to be
Don’t lie to me and say you’re giving up
I know that you’re lonely
But you’re so close and yet so young
You’re not done, just one more step, my love

I know I’m a simple man
Maybe I won’t understand, but try me
Time goes by so very quick
Blink just once, you might miss it, it’s highly likely

You’ll wake up at 45
Life’s gonе and passed you by
Might say you should’ve tried
But еven then, it’s totally fine, ’cause

It’s picking up slowly
The world’s not all you make it out to be
Don’t lie to me and say you’re giving up
I know that you’re lonely
But you’re so close and yet so young
You’re not done, just one more step, my love

One more step, my love
One more step, my love, ooh

It’s picking up slowly
The world’s not all you make it out to be

Don’t lie to me and say you’re giving up
I know that you’re lonely
But you’re so close and yet so young
You’re not done, just one more step
