[Intro]
Yeah

[Part 1]
The horizon doesn’t offer much
The glass is no longer half full, more like half empty
I haven’t seen the sea in so long
I wanted to see so much, but
I can’t find the right way, oh s*it
It’s all just a phase, but how long can I wait? At some point it’s too late
Sports car in the garage, but I’m leaving it there
And somehow I’m bathing in my pain

And of course no one can understand that, but
I haven’t been able to see a way out for a long time

[Hook]
(But that was) yesterday
Today I’m gathering all my courage and doing better
I’ve hung on to what used to be for too long
Something tells me that this state is changing, because
I’m not thinking about yesterday anymore
Because I was already scared enough
Do better
I’ve hung on to what used to be for too long
Something tells me that this state is changing, because
I’m not thinking about—

[Post-Hook]
(Yesterday)

[Part 2]
Not everything was always beautiful, but I’ve already gotten this far
I’m not hanging on to yesterday anymore, I’d rather write one Song
For a moment in the here and now, for a moment won
And when I’m somewhere else, I tend to think about what’s to come
I don’t want to forget what once was, but (??) thoughts keep circling
Opportunities that are long gone don’t help me anymore today

I’ve repented and can forgive
Sometimes even myself
I’m no longer the same person as yesterday
Because you get older somehow

[Pre-Hook]
Where have all the years gone? I think I lost a few.
The clock is turning without

[me?]
I was only born yesterday.
(??)
(??)

[Hook]
(No, I don’t think anymore—, I don’t think anymore—) Yesterday
Today I’ll gather all my courage and do better.
I’ve hung on to what used to be for too long.
Something tells me that this situation is changing, because
I don’t think about yesterday anymore.
Because I was already scared enough.
Do better.
I’ve hung on to what used to be for too long.
Something tells me that this situation is changing, because
I don’t think about—
