[Verse 1]
I found a note on my pillow the day that you left
Told me that I was somebody you’d never get

[Pre-Chorus]
Ain’t it funny how you only held me for a couple nights
Now, crying in these hotel lights
Wishing we could take it back in time

[Chorus]
I should’ve begged you to stay
Cancel my plans, we could just run away
You take my hand, be my favorite mistake
Drop everything, do whatever it takes, whatever it takes
‘Cause I can not pretend you meant nothing to me
I don’t want it to end, ah, ah
If we go separate ways and I never see you again
Let me say you were my favorite mistake

[Verse 2]
Woke up this morning and I took a walk down the street
I swore I saw your face in a stranger but you’re miles from me
You’re miles from me

[Pre-Chorus]
It’s funny how you only held me for a couple nights
Now I’m drowning in these hotel lights
Now wishing we could take it back in time, time

[Post-Chorus]
I, I
You were my favorite mistake
I, I
You were my favorite mistake

[Bridge]
If we cancelled our plans, we could just run away
You take my hand, be my favorite mistake
Drop everything, do whatever it takes
Whatever it takes

[Chorus]
‘Cause I can not pretend you meant nothing to me
I don’t want it to end, ah, ah
If we go separate ways and I never see you again
Let me say you were my favorite mistake
