Album Overview

R3SET is the second studio album by American record producer Mike WiLL Made-It, scheduled for release on March 20, 2026. Marking his first full-length project since Ransom 2 (2017), the album represents a significant return after nearly a decade-long gap in his solo discography.

The project is released under Eardrummer Entertainment in partnership with Giant Music, and is structured as a producer-driven compilation featuring a wide range of prominent hip-hop artists.

Concept & Background

R3SET is shaped by a personal and professional turning point in Mike WiLL Made-It’s career. The album’s title reflects a period of rebuilding following the loss of crucial hard drives earlier in his career, an event that disrupted his creative momentum. This experience informs the album’s conceptual framework, emphasizing renewal, resilience, and reinvention.

The release is also accompanied by a documentary project that explores the producer’s journey, offering context to the album’s creation and thematic direction.

Musical Style

The album is rooted in hip-hop and trap production, showcasing Mike WiLL Made-It’s signature sound characterized by heavy basslines, atmospheric synths, and layered percussion. As a producer-led album, R3SET blends diverse vocal performances with cohesive production, bridging mainstream rap with regional Atlanta influences.

The presence of multiple collaborators introduces stylistic variety, ranging from melodic rap flows to traditional Southern hip-hop elements, reinforcing the album’s compilation-style structure.
