Ascend- Lyrics & Tracklist – ZEROBASEONE

Album Overview

Ascend- is the sixth mini album by South Korean boy group ZEROBASEONE, scheduled for release on May 18, 2026. Issued under WAKEONE and distributed by Genie Music and Stone Music Entertainment, the project marks a significant transition in the group’s career as their first release following a lineup restructuring into a five-member act.

The album follows their special release Re-Flow and continues the group’s rapid output since their formation through the survival program Boys Planet in 2023. With this record, ZEROBASEONE enters a new artistic phase defined by maturity, continuity, and forward momentum.

Concept & Musical Direction

The title “Ascend-” symbolically incorporates a trailing hyphen, representing ongoing progression rather than a fixed endpoint. This concept reflects the group’s evolving identity and ambition to continuously grow beyond previous milestones.

Visually and thematically, the album emphasizes refinement and maturity. Early promotional materials suggest a polished aesthetic built around minimalism and modern imagery, including symbolic objects such as a large speaker, hinting at amplified voice and presence. Concept themes reportedly explore multiple narratives, including “Cover Story,” “Scenario,” and “A-Senses,” indicating a layered storytelling approach.

Musically, the project is expected to expand on contemporary K-pop foundations, blending pop, electronic, and performance-driven elements while highlighting a more cohesive and mature sonic identity. The album is positioned as both a continuation and reinvention of the group’s established style.
