[Part I]

[Intro]
What is life?
I been wondering
What is my life?
When my cousin went down, they gave him life
I can’t talk right now, I’m living my life
I’m living my life

[Verse]
Fourteen, begging for change on street corners

Tryna catch that city bus, hustle up three quarters
Couple hours made twenty dollars, back of that bus smelling sour
Somebody ain’t take a shower, but nonetheless
I get off, walking down Colfax to get my music
Was too infatuated with rapping to be a shooter
Mama linked me with this producer who had steam
My rap dream’s now in the hands of a crack fiend
My life, hadn’t made much of it, was still growing
My life, optimistic, excited, I’ll keep going
Then I died

[Interlude]
Today, we bury the old self
The one driven by pain and performance, that version has died

[Part II]

[Intro]
Uh, uh, yeah, uh, wake up (Wake up)
Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah, wake up (In his place stands a new creation)
Uh, yeah, yeah (Alive in Christ, walking in faith)

[Verse]
Killing off what was old

Brand new life, I rose
Died at the foot of the cross
Woke up right next to the throne
Look, if I cut this leash
It might go bad for ya
I got some angels and saints in the heavens
Who might call my Dad on ya, yeah
Call collect if you collecting charges
Pardon me, but I can get you pardoned
Part of me is partial, but He probably
Part the sea with a stick when He come through
I gave my life like an offering
I gave my life at the alter
Altered my ego from tryna be ‘migos with evil
They wanted to off me
Off of me and on to Him
I been off and on again
All my kids was born in sin
Jesus, make ’em born again
Some us related by birth
Some us related by blood
If you know the difference, then you go the distance
‘Cause you know the meaning of love (Life)
