[Intro: thuy]
Hurry up and don’t be late
‘Cause you know today’s the day the players play
(P-P-P-Lo, time to bring the bass back)

[Verse 1: P-Lo & Larry June]
Ayy, I put the P in the word player
It’s a holiday (Holiday)
And we solely bought that action, not a lot to say (No)
I’ma ball ’til I fall, until I buy the bank (Roll out)
The bay to the universe; see, it’s outer space (Phew)
We got a lot to chase
But we used to have it lit up in the town; no, no, you wasn’t ’round
Ayy, what they talking ’bout? (Phew)
Probably said it first (First)
It’s that we believe (Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy)
Need a yellow shirt

[Verse 2: Larry June]
Hold on; it’s me, baby; I ball for real (I ball for real)
They be fine as a mug, but I don’t call, for real (I don’t call, for real)
It’s a lovely day; I’m at the gas station (At the gas station)
I’m a warrior, a mac in a bag, chasing (Bag, chasing)
Jumpers (Jumpers), layups (Got layups)
Crossover (Crossover), numbers (‘Cause I, numbers)
I glide up the court, yeah and my shoes is clean (Alright)
Real SFC, going hard for the team (Sure)
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy

[Chorus: thuy, P-Lo & Larry June]
Today’s the day the players play (The players play) (Uh, shh, uh, shh)
So you better be on your way, on your way (Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy, uh) (On your way, on your way)
Now it’s time to celebrate (Celebrate) (Ayy, keep it going)
Hurry up and don’t be late (Ayy)
‘Cause you know today’s the day the players play (Uh, ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy)

[Verse 3: Kamaiyah]

Ayy, watch me get grooving
Balling on these folks, Moses Moody
I can’t name a battle that I ain’t won
I’m A1 from the field, baby, like Draymond
Slide in with the left hand like I’m Stephan
I’m too smooth how I move, make the ref get it
I’ve been balling several seasons, that’s a blessing
Putting rings on my team just like Steph did
Slide so exceptionally, they invest in me
I’m a player, most definitely
I’m a queen, do my thing, in the (??)
Flying high every time, baby, yes indeed

[Verse 4: Saweetie]
Who this? You know that I’m a pretty player
You know my team be rolling from New Year’s to December
Ever since I can remember, I done been about this bag
I done been about this hustle, doing what they said I can’t, yeah
Had a dream since Tennyson; thought I’d lose, you gotta bend
My greenie praying for bigger wins
I get it in, no failed attempts, uh
I’m ambitious, b!tch, I am a big fish
Yeah, I play the game but I ain’t playing by my bench, b!tch
Pray to God, hope he granting all my wishes
Shoutout my icy girls who handling they business
Never play and never fold; high or low, we gon’ stick with it (We really do this)
Never met nobody like me, I’m the blueprint (For real, for real)
[Chorus: thuy, P-Lo & LaRussell]
Today’s the day the players play (The players play)
So you better be on your way, on your way (On your way, on your way)
Now it’s time to celebrate (Celebrate)
Hurry up and don’t be late (Ayy)
‘Cause you know today’s the day the players play (Don’t hate the player, hate the game)

[Verse 5: LaRussell & G-Eazy]
Either way to check cash
I check bags with no check bags
I carry on, the torch I was handed
Highly demanded, a TMZ candid
I work for all that I got, ain’t nothing given
California living, stacking up dividends
Look out for my siblings; me, Madre and Padre
I’m slapping shawty, chilling with my shawty
I knew that I would make it, I may be a parlay
I bet on myself, not a parlay
I used to rubber-band twenties in the hallway (Gerald)
Now I couldn’t count as much cash on my off day, mm (Yeah, uh)

[Verse 6: G-Eazy]
The other day, just called Clay
Told him “It’s for life, I’ll fu*k with you the long way”
Remember riding on your float all down Broadway?
Championship parade to Vegas, we all raged
Work to Dogg; get the drip, it’s this clean
Bay to the universe, we living this dream
You weren’t there, this was 2015
Do you yadada, yadada, yadadamean

[Outro: YMTK & G-Eazy]
Play on, play on, play, ayy (Ha-ha-ha)
Play on, play on, play, ayy
Play on, play on, play, ayy
Play on, play on, play, ayy (Ooh-ooh-ooh)
Play on, play on, play, ayy (Play on)
Play on, play on, play, ayy (Ooh-ooh-ooh)
Play on, play on, play, ayy
Play on, play on, play, ayy
