Champagne Lyrics – Remi Wolf
[Verse 1]
Call it a face card
Ruining my makeup
Fu*ked up on the bathroom floor
If you’re such a big star
Show me what you’re made of
Show me what I miss you for
[Pre-Chorus]
Where I am (Am), you aren’t (Aren’t)
You said it at the bar (The bar)
I’m never getting far with your tongue tied ’round my neck
It’s hot (Hot), it’s funny ’til it’s not (It’s not)
We do this s*it too often
[Chorus]
I’m always waiting here for someone to leave me in the pouring rain
I’m always waiting here for someone to choke me down like cheap champagne
I wanna crash my car smoking a cigarette
Crying to somе silhouette
Screaming at thе window pane
I’m always waiting here for someone to leave me in the pouring rain
Leave me, leave me, ah
[Post-Chorus]
I’m always waiting, ooh, you keep me waiting
Ooh, I’m always waiting, ooh, you keep me
[Verse 2]
Maybe the best part
Is sitting in the silence
Waiting for my phone to light up
And you set a high bar
It’s down to a scienc
ive me some, but never enough
[Pre-Chorus]
Where I am (Am), you aren’t (Aren’t)
You said it at the bar (The bar)
I’m never getting far with your tongue tied ’round my neck
It’s hot (Hot), it’s funny ’til it’s not (It’s not)
We do this s*it too often
[Chorus]
I’m always waiting here for someone to leave me in the pouring rain
(I’m always waiting, ooh, you keep me waiting)
I’m always waiting here for someone to choke me down like cheap champagne
(Ooh, make me wait)
I wanna crash my car smoking a cigarette
Crying to some silhouette
Screaming at the window pane
I’m always waiting here for someone to leave me in the pouring rain
Leave me, leave me, ah
[Bridge]
Got me always wondering where you are
Same story, different bar
Turning your location off and call me crazy
Yeah, I guess it’s kind of our thing
Playing this runaround game
I could just shut it down, but
[Chorus]
I’m always waiting here for someone to leave me in the pouring rain
I’m always waiting here for someone to choke me down like cheap champagne
I wanna crash my car smoking a cigarette
Crying to some silhouette
Screaming at the window pane (Window pane)
I’m always waiting here for someone to leave me in the pouring rain
Leave me, leave me, ah
[Outro]
Where I am, you aren’t
You said it at the bar
I’m never getting far with your tongue tied ’round my neck
It’s hot, it’s funny ’til it’s not
We do this s*it too often
(Alright, I kinda—, the chorus)
