Shut The Door Lyrics (English Translation) – Young K

[Verse 1]
Here we go again, they’re out to tear me down again
So desperate to break me, tell me why? (Why?)
The friends I used to trust just talk behind my back instead
They say the truth shines through, then tell me why? (Why?)

[Pre-Chorus]
Loneliness is closing in
People wear me thin
Dragging footsteps, head hangs low
Barely make it through my door

[Chorus]
So I shut the door
Dive beneath the covers of my bed
My pillow’s getting soaked with all these tears
Please just take me far away into my dreams
Yeah, so I shut the door
Close my eyes and block out every sound
Turn the music deep inside me up
And tell myself, “I’m alright, I’m gonna be alright”

[Verse 2]
Endless betrayal
Rumors come and go
I don’t want to know, I don’t want to hear
I don’t want to be the one caught in it

[Pre-Chorus]
Frustration floods my mind
I’m so tired of people
With a sigh, I bow my head
Barely reach the doorknob

[Chorus]
So I shut the door
Dive beneath the covers of my bed

My pillow’s getting soaked with all these tears
Please just take me far away into my dreams
Yeah, so I shut the door
Close my eyes and block out every sound
Turn the music deep inside me up
And tell myself, “I’m alright, I’m gonna be alright”

[Bridge]
Please, let this be the last time
The last of these tears, the last of this pain
I don’t want to cry no more
Not gonna let anyone hurt me anymore

[Chorus]
So I shut the door
Force another smile onto my face
Sunlight’s pouring through my window
Wash away the darkness in my heart
But now I shut the door
Close my eyes and block out every sound
Turn the music deep inside me up
And tell myself, “I’m alright, I’m gonna be alright”

[Outro]
Shut the door (Oh)
Shut the door (Ooh)
Shut the door (Ooh)
I’m gonna be alright
