I heard that you’re doing fine
That you got the job you wanted
And now you’re not just killing time
Like you were with me

Do you ever wonder ’bout the kids we’ll never have?
The house we’ll never own?
The life we’ll never know?
The life we’ll never know?

We were just too good to be true
I was so in love with you
I hope when it’s us and it done
And you’re not the one

I’m not still wondering if it should’ve been us
Oh if it should’ve been you
And I still listen to your favorite song
And I smile while I cry
But I still sing along
And I’m not letting go
I don’t know if it’s wrong
But I like how it feels

Well you were just too good to be true
I was so in love with you
I hope when I hope when it’s us and it done
And you’re not the one

I’m not still wondering if it should’ve been us
Oh if it should’ve been you
I hope when I hope when it’s us and it done
And you’re not the one

I’m not still wondering if it should’ve been us
Oh if it should’ve been you
I saw

They hung a new sign at the bar that we both used to love
So I guess that it’s true
Nothing’s the same without you
