[Verse 1]
Sweet were the skies of flour-white dawns
When the ovens of fate burned
The just and the cruel sang their old songs
Fractured the fragile world they’d learn
Age-old blades of caramel light
And shields of candied flame
How does a hero stand upright
And bind for life the Dark One’s name?

[Verse 2]
One final word split the air
When the final mark caught fire
Scattered like crumbs, cursed to beware
Each to wander, but climb no higher
Earthbread slept in powdered ash
Its banners torn and drowned
How does a kingdom stand upright
With such a silent, broken crown?

[Chorus]
So rise, crumbled crown
Oh rise, crumbled crown
From the oven to the open plain
Light the shadows on friendship’s flame, hey

[Post-Chorus]
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ah
Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ah-ooh

[Bridge]
Soul jam burned with Freedom‘s light
Such wonder in her eyes
Said, “I bear the sin, I’ll face the cost
For every soul my hands have lost.”

[Chorus]

So rise, crumbled crown
Oh rise, crumbled crown
From the oven to the open plain
Light the shadows on friendship’s flame
So rise, crumbled crown
Oh rise, crumbled crown
From the oven to the open plain
Light the shadows on friendship’s flame, hey

[Outro]
Ooh, ah-ooh, ah-ooh, ah-ooh (Ooh)
Ah-ooh, ah-ooh, ooh
