[Verse 1]
Knees are getting weaker
Running out of time
I’ve been dodging all your looks with a blind eye
Tying up my sneakers
Cause I don’t wanna lose
Yeah I’ve been there once or twice and I’m still bruised

[Pre-Chorus]
I’ve been keeping my stride
The ball’s in your court
For you to decide

Oh

[Chorus]
We’ve been going back and forth on this tennis court
We’ll never get where we’re going and I’m getting bored
Every time that we might take a step forward I go ahead and I ruin it, ruin it
Ugh!

We’ve been going back and forth on this tennis court
We’ll never get where we’re going and I’m keeping score
Every time that we might take a step forward I go ahead and I ruin it, ruin it
Ugh!

Oh oh
Oh oh

[Verse 2]
Shooting down the morning
Leave it up to me
To put a space in between what we wanna be
If I were to try first time with honesty
I pray that you would lean in when you’re listening

[Pre-Chorus]
I’ve been keeping my stride

The ball’s in your court
For you to decide
Oh

[Chorus]
We’ve been going back and forth on this tennis court
We’ll never get where we’re going and I’m getting bored
Every time that we might take a step forward I go ahead and I ruin it, ruin it
Ugh!

We’ve been going back and forth on this tennis court
We’ll never get where we’re going and I’m keeping score
Every time that we might take a step forward I go ahead and I ruin it, ruin it
Ugh!

Oh oh
Oh Oh
