ain’t it a shame tomorrow finally came?
Just like you knew it would
When you’re promising your truths
But what do you do when those nights are through?
And you’ve got no veins, but you’re still in pain?
I know, it’s hardly a secret

If you’re looking for me
You’re looking for the wrong guy
Hey, I’m just wasting away
Watching the time go by
Hey, if you’re looking for me

You’re looking for the wrong guy
Hey, I’m just wasting away
Watching the time go by

In the summer months, second chances come
So catch the evening sun
On a midnight cruise but in the folly of youth
It left its stamp on you
And if you’re looking for blame, it’s ‘causе you’re still in pain
I know, baby, I know, yeah

If you’re looking for mе
You’re looking for the wrong guy
Hey, I’m just wasting away
Watching the time go by
Hey, if you’re looking for me
You’re looking for the wrong guy
Hey, I’m just wasting away
Watching the time go by

Ain’t it a shame tomorrow finally came?
Just like you knew it would
Now find yourself alone
But what do you do when it’s all fallen through?
And you’ve got no veins, but you’re still in pain?

I know, believe me, I know

Yeah, if you’re looking for me
You’re looking for the wrong guy
Hey, I’m just wasting away
Watching the time go by
Hey, if you’re looking for me
You’re looking for the wrong guy
Hey, I’m just wasting away
Watching the time go by

Ain’t it a shame?
